CENTRAL AMERICA Central America is the small isthmus that separates the Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Sea, and connects North America and South America. It is made up of these seven countries: Belize Guatemala El Salvador Honduras Nicaragua Panama Costa Rica Central America is considered a Mesoamerican civilization that was largely inhabited by people indigenous to the area until Spanish intervention in the 1500’s.
