Patterns A pattern is a recognizable, consistent series of numbers, shapes, or images. When you see a number or shape pattern, look carefully at the series of numbers or shapes in order to figure out what the pattern is…try and guess what would be the next number or shape in the pattern. Can you recognize the following pattern of numbers? Find out the pattern by watching how the numbers change. 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, ? Notice the pattern: the numbers are counting by TWOS.
