ODD OR EVEN NUMBERS An odd number is a number that will have a leftover when divided into two equal groups. An even number is a number that can be divided into two equal groups without any leftovers. How to Figure Out Odd and Even Numbers: To figure out whether a number is odd or even, you simply look at the ones place. If the number in the ones place is an even number, then the entire number put together is an even number. For example: Since the number in the ones place is a four and the number four is an even number, that makes 354 an even number! If the number in the ones place is an odd number, then the entire number put together is an odd number. For example: Since the number in the ones place is a three and the number three is an odd number, that makes 873 an odd number! © Copyright NewPath Learning. All Rights Reserved.
