SEQUENCE What is Sequence? SEQUENCE = order A sequence of events is the order in which events occurs. When you write the steps to the process of a task, the steps should be written in the correct ORDER so that someone can follow the steps to complete the task properly. If you are telling a story about an incident that took place, it is important to tell the correct sequence of events so people understand the story. Transitional words and phrases Transition means to move or change. Transition words and phrases help you progress from one step to the next when writing about a process or event.
