PARTS OF A BOOK What are the Parts of a Book? A book often has several parts that make finding information easier for readers. Table of Contents The table of contents will list all the chapters in the book, including the chapter number, name, and the page numbers of the chapter begins and ends. The table of contents can be found in the BEGINNING of the book. Sample Table of Contents: Ice Cream 1. History of Ice Cream 2-11 2. Ice Cream Ingredients 12-24 3. It will include the page number of where you can find the information about a particular topic in the book. An index can be found at the END of a book. Sample Section of an Index: INDEX: WEATHER Cloud formation 7-9 Fronts 37-39 Hail 16-19 Humidity 20-23 Jet Streams 34-36 Meteorologists 3-5 © Copyright NewPath Learning. All Rights Reserved.
