GEOMETRY: POLYGONS What Are Polygons? Polygons are many-sided figures, with sides that are line segments. Polygons are named according to the number of sides and angles they have. A polygon is a closed figure made by joining line segments. The most familiar polygons are the triangle, the rectangle, and the square. How to name polygons: Polygons are named by the amount of sides they have.
