PERCENTS Finding a Percent When there are one HUNDRED equal parts of something, you can find a PERCENT. Example #1: If you answered 88 questions correctly out of 100 questions on your Math test, you would receive an 88% on your test. Example #2: If 56 out of 100 pieces on the square are shaded in, you could say 56% of the square is shaded. Example #3: 100 students at Hillcrest High were asked about their favorite food.
