MULTIPLICATION AND DIVISION OF MULTIPLES OF 10, 100, AND 1000 What Is Multiplication and Division of Multiples of 10, 100, and 1000? Multiplying and dividing multiples of 10, 100, and 1000 involves using mental math and the property of zero. The property of zero means that the product of a number and 0 is 0. How to Multiply and Divide Multiples of 10, 100, and 1000: Break apart the numbers and use basic multiplication or division facts to find products or quotients. Then put the zero back on in the answer. Example: Multiplication 3 x 90 = 180 3 x 9 = 18 then place one zero on the product. Division 120 ÷ 6 = 20 12 ÷ 6 = 2 then place one zero on the quotient. Try This! Multiplication 300 x 4 = 1600 x 2 = Division 540 ÷ 9 = 1800 ÷ 3 = © Copyright NewPath Learning. All Rights Reserved.
